We’re Getting Married!
We invite you to celebrate our love with us in Tunis - a place that is woven into who we are. It is where cultures meet, where our stories intertwine, and where we wish to begin this new chapter together. Surrounded by the people who mean the most to us, we wish to share a night of joy, music, and togetherness, celebrating the love that has brought us to this moment.
Your presence is what will make it truly complete.
What to do in Tunis
-
It’s highly recommended to get a local SIM card upon arrival. Orange Tunisia is a reliable and easy option, available directly at the airport. Make sure that at least one person in your group has a local phone number, as many restaurants take reservations only by phone, and taxi apps also require a phone number to work. A prepaid SIM card with call minutes and 30 GB mobile data usually costs around €10, making it a simple and very practical first step when arriving.
-
It’s recommended to exchange some cash upon arrival at the airport, where you can easily compare the exchange rates offered by different banks and choose the best one. While many shops, cafés, and restaurants accept card payments, cash is still essential for taxis, smaller local places, markets, and tips — so it’s better to be safe than sorry and always carry some cash with you.
-
For our guests, we warmly recommend staying in La Marsa, Gammarth, or Carthage. These neighborhoods are among the most welcoming and tourist-friendly areas of Tunis, known for their beautiful coastline, great restaurants and cafés, beach clubs, and easy transportation. You’ll find everything from elegant hotels and boutique stays to lovely Airbnbs, perfect for making your stay both comfortable and memorable.
At the same time, these areas are conveniently located close to our wedding venue and to some of the most charming spots in the region, such as Sidi Bou Said, the Mediterranean beaches, and the historic sites of Carthage — offering a perfect mix of relaxation, culture, and seaside atmosphere.
If you find an accommodation and would like us to double-check the location or suitability, please don’t hesitate to contact us at any time. We’ll be more than happy to help you choose the best place for your stay.
-
If you want to feel the real heartbeat of the city, spend time in the Medina of Tunis. It’s a maze of narrow streets, old doors, small workshops, and everyday life – beautiful, busy, and full of character. Let yourself get lost, browse the souks, and stop whenever something catches your eye.
-
Try a freshly made brik (crispy pastry with egg), bambalouni (sweet Tunisian doughnuts), traditional couscous, or simple street sandwiches with harissa. Some of the best food here isn’t in big restaurants but in tiny local spots you’ll stumble upon while walking.
-
For a calmer, more reflective experience, visit the Bardo Museum. Set inside a former palace, it holds one of the world’s most beautiful collections of Roman mosaics and gives a deeper understanding of Tunisia’s long, layered history. It’s a lovely contrast to the energy of the Medina.
